Colorado Springs, CO- Brookdale Community College sophomore center-fielder Taylor Mennie and sophomore shortstop Nikki Alfano were named to the 2017 NJCAA Division III Softball first All-America team.
Lincroft, NJ- Brookdale Community College sophomore center-fielder Taylor Mennie was named Region XIX Player of the Year. Mennie was also named as a first team All-Region and All-GSAC honoree. Sophomore shortstop Nikki Alfano and freshman right-handed pitcher Rachel Hrevnak join Mennie on the All-Region and All-GSAC first teams.
Rochester, MN- The Brookdale softball team placed fifth at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament after speeding past the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 14-0.
Rochester, MN- The Jersey Blues softball team fell to the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County in five innings, 14-5 and edged the Vikings of Itasca Community College in five innings, 11-5 in day one of competition at the NJCAA National Softball Tournament.
Sewell, NJ- The Brookdale softball team defeated the Cougars of Camden County College in two games to capture the Region XIX title and advance to the NJCAA division III national tournament.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team ran past the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 21-0 and 9-0 in the first round of the Region XIX tournament.
Blackwood, NJ- The Brookdale softball team split with the Cougars of Camden County College in conference play.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team swept the Vikings of Ocean County College, 8-0 in five innings and 7-2. The Jersey Blues had a strong fifth inning in game one, where they swung their bats and scored seven runs to end the game. Sophomore center-fielder Taylor Mennie crushed a three-run home-run and knocked in four RBI's.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team celebrated seven sophomores during the doubleheader against Delaware Technical Community College; third baseman and pitcher Danelle Lewis, catcher Olivia Carbone, pitcher Lauren Coppinger, center-fielder Taylor Mennie, outfielder Jillisa Curry, shortstop Nikki Alfano and outfielder Megan Mego.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team fought hard in two games against the Barons of Rowan College at Burlington County.
Lincroft, NJ- Freshman first baseman Veronica Woehr recorded her first three-run homer of the season in game one against the Dukes of Cumberland County College where the Jersey Blues posted an 8-0 victory in five innings.
Edison, NJ- The Brookdale softball team took two games from the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College in five innings each, 10-0 and 20-3.
New Rochelle, NY- The Jersey Blues women's softball team downed the Mustangs of Monroe College, 12-3 in five innings. Sophomore outfielder Megan Mego and sophomore catcher Olivia Carbone each launched a three-run home-run. Sophomore second baseman Nikki Alfano also added a solo home-run.
Randolph, NJ- The Brookdale softball team split with the Titans of County College of Morris. In game one, the Jersey Blues were edged 9-2. Freshman second baseman Paige Eckert and sophomore third baseman Danelle Lewis posted two hits apiece.
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues softball team defeated the Skylanders of Sussex County Community College in five innings, 9-1 and 10-2. Freshman first baseman Bridget Coulahan launched a solo home-run while sophomore shortstop Nikki Alfano connected for two doubles in game one.
Lincroft, NJ- Taylor Mennie from Brookdale Community College has been named Garden State Athletic Conference Division III Softball Player of the Week.
