Softball Places 5th At National Tournament
Rochester, MN- The Brookdale softball team placed fifth at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament after speeding past the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 14-0.

Rochester, MN- The Brookdale softball team placed fifth at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament after speeding past the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 14-0.
Freshman first baseman Veronica Woehr posted a three-run home-run while sophomore center-fielder Taylor Mennie went 3-4 and collected her 16th home-run of the season. Freshman left-fielder Katrina Hand connected three times while sophomore pitcher Lauren Coppinger tossed the two-hit shutout.
In the game prior to the 5th place finish, the team fell to St. Cloud Technical and Community College, 13-12. Woehr launched two home-runs; one three-run homer and one solo. Sophomore third baseman Danelle Lewis ripped a three-run homer as Mennie notched two hits and three RBI's.
The 2017 softball team finished out the season with an overall record of 39-12-1.
