Sewell, NJ- The Brookdale softball team was edged in six innings by the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County in game one, 11-3. In game two, the battle stands at a 6-6 tie.
Sophomore first baseman Bethany Evans connected three times at the plate. Sophomore left-fielder Taylor Mennie recorded a solo home-run while freshman third baseman Veronica Woehr collected two hits for two RBI singles.
After the doubleheader, the Jersey Blues record stands at 8-5 overall. The team returns to action at home on Friday, March 31st for two matches against Lackawanna College beginning at 3:00pm.
