Brookdale Sweeps Northampton Community College
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team swept the Spartans of Northampton Community College, 8-2 and 15-1. In game one, sophomore left-fielder Taylor Mennie tallied one home-run, two hits and one RBI. Freshman first baseman Veronica Woehr and sophomore third baseman Danelle Lewis also added two hits and one RBI each.

In game one, sophomore left-fielder Taylor Mennie tallied one home-run, two hits and one RBI. Freshman first baseman Veronica Woehr and sophomore third baseman Danelle Lewis also added two hits and one RBI each.
Freshman Rachel Hrevnak pitched for the win and struck out six Spartan batters. Hrevnak recorded her seventh win from the mound.
In game two, sophomore second baseman Nikki Alfano, sophomore outfielder Megan Mego, Woehr and Mennie collected three hits apiece.
Sophomore right-handed pitcher Lauren Coppinger spun for the victory and allowed only three hits. Coppinger also notched her seventh win of the season.
With the wins, the team improves their overall record to 16-5-1 and returns to action for another two games at home on Sunday, April 9th against Suffolk County Community College.
