Paige Eckert Smacks Two-Run Homer; Softball Rallies For Sweep Against Cecil College
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning highlighted by a two-run game winning home-run by freshman second baseman Paige Eckert. Brookdale defeated the Seahawks of Cecil College, 4-2 in game one.

Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning highlighted by a two-run game winning home-run by freshman second baseman Paige Eckert. Brookdale defeated the Seahawks of Cecil College, 4-2 in game one.
Freshman right-handed pitcher Rachel Hrevnak recorded her fourth win from the mound.
In game two, Brookdale rallied back again from a six-run deficit to win on a walk-off sacrifice fly by freshman catcher Bridget Coulahan to defeat Cecil, 9-8 in eight innings. Freshman third baseman Veronica Woehr and Eckert posted three hits as sophomore right-handed pitcher Lauren Coppinger tossed for the victory. Coppinger's record stands at 4-3.
The team improves their overall record to 8-4 and will return to the diamond at home on Tuesday, March 28th against the Titans of County College of Morris for two games starting at 3:00pm.
