Softball Slides Past Middlesex County College In DH
Edison, NJ- The Brookdale softball team took two games from the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College in five innings each, 10-0 and 20-3.

Edison, NJ- The Brookdale softball team took two games from the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College in five innings each, 10-0 and 20-3.
In game one, freshman center-fielder Katrina Hand tallied three hits for one triple and two RBI's. Freshman second baseman Paige Eckert crushed a two-run double as sophomore right-handed pitcher Danelle Lewis collected the one hit victory from the mound. Lewis also contributed two doubles and one RBI.
In game two, sophomore left-fielder Taylor Mennie smacked a three-run homer, collecting her ninth of the season. Mennie now leads the nation in home-runs. Taylor also scored four runs. Freshman first baseman Bridget Coulahan and Lewis connected three times each at the plate. Sophomore pitcher Lauren Coppinger earned the win and drove in three runs with one double and one single.
The Jersey Blues improve their overall record to 27-6-1 and will return home to face the Dukes of Cumberland County College on Thursday, April 20th for two games starting at 3:30pm.
