Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team fought hard in two games against the Barons of Rowan College at Burlington County.

Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team fought hard in two games against the Barons of Rowan College at Burlington County.
In game one, the Jersey Blues fell 14-13 in eight innings to the Barons after having a day at the plate with five home-runs by sophomore center-fielder Taylor Mennie, freshman first baseman Veronica Woehr, sophomore shortstop Nikki Alfano and sophomore right-fielder Megan Mego.
Brookdale came from behind in game two but the game was called due to darkness after the seventh inning. The score stood at 7-7. Alfano tied up the game with a two-run single while Mennie and freshman catcher Bridget Coulahan hit solo home-runs.
The team will return to action on Sunday, April 23rd to face Delaware Technical Community College for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00pm.
