Freshman Second Baseman Paige Eckert Named GSAC Player Of The Week

Paige Eckert from Brookdale Community College has been named Garden State Athletic Conference Division III softball player of the week.

In two Jersey Blue wins, Eckert hit an impressive 5-7 at the plate, also driving in three runs and scoring three times in the two-game set with Cecil College.  In a 2-3 performance in game one, Eckert Launched a fifth inning two-run home-run in a four run inning that proved to be the difference in the 4-2 win.  The freshman middle infielder followed that up with a 3-4 afternoon with an RBI and one run scored in a 9-8 victory in game two.

The Jersey Blues are currently 8-4 on the season.
