2017 Brookdale Women's Volleyball News
Asbury Park, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team participated in "Clean Ocean Action" at the beach in Asbury Park on Saturday, October 21st. The team volunteered and picked up trash and other materials in order to make the area a nicer place to visit and to help the wildlife live in a cleaner atmosphere.
Lincroft, NJ- Brookdale Community College sophomore outside hitter Katrina Hand earned first team All-Region honors for the 2017 season.
Cranford, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team ended the 2017 season after an exciting 3-2 (21-25, 30-28, 25-22, 23-25, 15-10) victory over the Owls of Union County College.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team stumbled against the Vikings of Ocean County College, 0-3 (16-25, 18-25, 11-25).
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team took down the Panthers of Passaic County Community College, 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-13).
Edison, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team grounded the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 3-2 (25-11, 25-18, 26-28, 22-25, 15-11). After a fast paced start for the Jersey Blues, the Colts battled back to take the match to the fifth and final set where Brookdale prevailed.
Branchburg, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team was overpowered by the Lions of Raritan Valley Community College, 1-3 (10-25, 25-22, 19-25, 19-25).
Paramus, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets to the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College, 0-3 (9-25, 15-25, 13-25).
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team took down the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 3-1 (25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23) in four close sets. Freshman setter Taijha Williams dished 22 assists in the conference match-up. Williams also contributed 10 aces and three kills.
Paterson, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team aced the Panthers of Passaic County Community College, 3-0 (25-14, 25-4, 25-15). Brookdale sailed through the sets with a total of 24 aces.
Bethlehem, PA- The Brookdale women's volleyball team was edged by the Spartans of Northampton Community College, 0-3 (17-25, 17-25, 8-25).
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team was overcome by the Owls of Union County College, 1-3 (23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 22-25).
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team was topped by the Lions of Raritan Valley Community College, 0-3 (10-25, 15-25, 11-25) and the Knights of CCBC Essex, 0-3 (11-25, 11-25, 11-25).
Toms River, NJ- Despite a tireless effort, the Vikings of Ocean County College overpowered the Jersey Blues women's volleyball team with relentless attacks and aggressive serves. Brookdale was edged, 0-3 (9-25, 14-25, 10-25).
Lincroft, NJ- After a first set defeat, the Brookdale women's volleyball team found their rhythm and topped the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 3-1 (20-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-21).
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team was blanked by the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College, 0-3 (5-25, 19-25, 19-25).
