Bethlehem, PA- The Brookdale women's volleyball team was edged by the Spartans of Northampton Community College, 0-3 (17-25, 17-25, 8-25).

The Jersey Blues challenged the Spartans in two close sets, where Brookdale took the lead but could not close out. Sophomore defensive specialist Johanna Williams recorded three kills and two digs while freshman outside hitter Jessenia Acevedo served one ace and scooped five digs. Sophomore outside hitter Katrina Hand added six kills and eight digs as freshman setter Taijha Williams dished eight assists and landed one kill.

The team will return to action on the road to face the Panthers of Passaic County Community College on Saturday, September 23rd for a noon match-up.
