Women's Volleyball Honors Sophomores; Jersey Blues Stumble Against Ocean Vikings

Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team stumbled against the Vikings of Ocean County College, 0-3 (16-25, 18-25, 11-25).

The Jersey Blues competed fiercely against Ocean and kept the sets close but the Vikings went on long rallies to take the win. Sophomore outside hitter Katrina Hand notched six kills and 16 digs as sophomore defensive specialist Johanna Williams and freshman outside hitter Jessenia Acevedo recorded three kills and one ace each. Freshman setter Taijha Williams contributed 10 assists.

The team honored Katrina Hand and Johanna Williams as well as the sophomores from Ocean before the match began.

The Blues will return to action on the road at Union County College at 6:00pm on Wednesday, October 11th.
