Toms River, NJ- Despite a tireless effort, the Vikings of Ocean County College overpowered the Jersey Blues women's volleyball team with relentless attacks and aggressive serves. Brookdale was edged, 0-3 (9-25, 14-25, 10-25).
Freshman outside hitter Jessenia Acevedo collected three kills and two digs while sophomore outside hitter Katrina Hand notched three kills, one ace and nine digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Johanna Williams posted three kills and seven digs as freshman setter Taijha Williams added one kill and four assists.
The team will return home to face the Lions of Raritan Valley Community College and the Knights of CCBC Essex on Saturday, September 16th.
