2016 Brookdale Men's Soccer News
Lincroft, NJ- Four Brookdale men's soccer players earned All-Region and All-GSAC distinctions for their performance in the 2016 season. Sophomore forward Hakeem Wood was named to the first All-Region and All-GSAC teams while sophomore forward Guilherme DeNovaes earned second team All-Region and All-GSAC honors.
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues men's soccer team suffered a tough defeat to the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College, 3-2 in a penalty kick shootout.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's soccer team suffered a tough defeat to the Cougars of Camden County College, 2-1. After leading by one throughout the entire first half, the Blues could not hold on and the Cougars scored two late goals in the second half.
Vineland, NJ- Sophomore forward Guilherme DeNovaes sparked the Jersey Blues offense against the Dukes of Cumberland County College, notching three goals. Brookdale defeated Cumberland, 6-1.
Branchburg, NJ- The Jersey Blues men's soccer team overpowered the Lions of Raritan Valley Community College, 5-0. Sophomore forward Guilherme DeNovaes led the way offensively, recording two goals and one assist.
Toms River, NJ- Sophomore midfielder Alex Cella scored the game winning goal for the Jersey Blues in the 67th minute of play, clinching the 1-0 victory over the Vikings of Ocean County College.
Edison, NJ- The Brookdale men's soccer team grabbed a conference road win against the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 2-1. The Blues took the lead in the first half, collecting the first score of the game from freshman forward Marlhens Nasanes. Sophomore forward Hakeem Wood dished the assist.
Roselle, NJ- The Brookdale men's soccer team was topped by the Owls of Union County College, 6-4. After being down by a goal a few times in the match-up, the Blues fought their way back to tie it up until the very end of the game. Brookdale never gave up, tallying the final score in the 86th minute.
Randolph, NJ- The Jersey Blues men's soccer team stumbled against the Titans of County College of Morris, 2-1. Sophomore forward Hakeem Wood collected the goal while sophomore forward Guilherme DeNovaes dished the assist.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's soccer team was edged by the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County in conference play, 2-1.
Lincroft, NJ- Sophomore forward Guilherme DeNovaes drove in three goals against the Panthers of Passaic County Community College, leading the Jersey Blues to an 8-1 victory. DeNovaes also collected two assists.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's soccer team defeated the DI Barons of Rowan College at Burlington County 1-0. Sophomore forward Hakeem Wood scored the lone goal of the game in the seventh minute of play. Sophomore forward Guilherme DeNovaes collected the assist.
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues men's soccer team rallied past the Skylanders of Sussex County Community College, 2-1 after being down 1-0 at the half.
Lincroft, NJ- Brookdale Comunity College sophomore Guilherme DeNovaes has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference Male Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending September 11th.

Lakewood, NJ- Freshman forward Marlhens Nasanes led the Jersey Blues offense against the Lions of Georgian Court University, recording two out of the six goals scored. Brookdale defeated the JV squad, 6-1.
