2015 Brookdale Women's Volleyball News
Lincroft, NJ- Brookdale Community College freshman right back Olivia Hayes received first team All-Region and All-GSAC honors. Sophomore middle hitter Morgan T. Schweitzer and sophomore libero Ally Latourette were named to the third All-Region team and second All-GSAC team.
Paramus, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team fell in a hard fought quarter-final match of the Region XIX tournament against Bergen Community College, 2-3 (26-24, 17-25, 25-22, 16-25, 14-16). Sophomore libero Ally Latourette scooped 24 digs and served two aces while freshman right back Olivia Hayes smacked 10 kills, served three aces and scooped 25 digs.
Paramus, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team fell to the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College, 1-3 (21-25, 25-27, 25-19, 20-25). Freshman setter Rebecca Franey led the team in assists, dishing 18 passes to her teammates. Franey also served five aces.
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team extended it's win streak to four with the defeat of the Golden Lions of Raritan Valley Community College, 3-0 (25-5, 25-7, 25-11). Brookdale totaled 29 aces in three sets.
Cranford, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team topped the Owls of Union County College in four sets, winning 3-1 (25-15,14-25, 25-16, 25-21). Freshman outside hitter Hanalee May tallied five kills and eight digs for Brookdale.
Paterson, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team downed the Panthers of Passaic County Community College, 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-17). Freshman right back Olivia Hayes tallied four aces and 10 kills.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team overwhelmed the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-11). Freshman right back Olivia Hayes put away 23 kills and four aces, hitting .594 for the match.
Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues women's volleyball team fell to the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College, 1-3 (25-23, 20-25, 22-25, 21-25). Freshman setter Rebecca Franey dished 22 assists while sophomore outside hitter Morgan T. Schweitzer blocked three shots, scooped 16 digs and smacked nine kills.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team blanked the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-14). Sophomore outside hitter Morgan T. Schweitzer and freshman right back Olivia Hayes double-doubled for the Jersey Blues.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team fell short against the Vikings of Ocean County College, 1-3 (29-31, 24-26, 26-24, 26-28). All four sets went into overtime. Freshman right back Olivia Hayes posted a double-double, recording 13 kills and 30 digs. Hayes also tallied three aces.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team fell to the Spartans of Northampton Community College, 3-0(20-25,18-25, 20-25) in the hard fought Region XIX match-up. Freshman right back Olivia Hayes slammed 11 kills and tallied one block for the Jersey Blues.
Randolph, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team defeated the Titans of County College of Morris, 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-22). Freshman setter Rebecca Franey dished a match high 22 assists. Franey also recorded three kills.
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team downed the Owls of Union County College, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-15). Freshman right back Olivia Hayes double-doubled, smashing 15 kills and scooping 11 digs.
Toms River, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team fell to the Vikings of Ocean County College, 0-3 (14-25, 14-25, 24-26). Freshman right back Olivia Hayes slammed six kills and tallied two blocks while sophomore outside hitter Morgan T. Schweitzer scooped 22 digs and recorded six kills.
Edison, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team dominated play against the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-19). Freshman setter Rebecca Franey dished a match high 21 assists and totaled three aces.
Columbia, MD- The Brookdale women's volleyball team fell to the Knights of CCBC Essex, 1-2 (24-26, 25-23, 6-15) and Nassau Community College, 0-2 (12-25, 8-25). In game one, sophomore outside hitter Morgan T. Schweitzer collected five aces and 23 digs.
