Brookdale's Cross Country Team Finishes 9th In The Country; Purdon Places 7th Overall

Milledgeville, GA - The men's and women's cross country teams completed their magical season by running in the NJCAA Division III Championship meet at Council Farms in Georgia this past weekend.

Theodore Purdon, a freshman from Red Bank Regional High School, ran the race of his life by placing 7th overall in a time of 27:04 while earning All-American status. Purdon is  the first Brookdale cross country All-American since 2017. He was followed across the line by freshman, Michael Puzo (Middletown North High School), who placed 41st and ran a HUGE personal record of 28:48.

Brookdale's 218 team points were good enough for a 9th place finish in the nation. Finishing in the nation's top 10 is incredible for Brookdale Community College and its cross country program. The status is the most attention they have received in decades and will be the building blocks for next year's team.
