Amundson Wins 100th Career Game As Women's Soccer Head Coach
Lincroft, NJ- In her teams 3-2 victory over Ocean County College on Saturday, October 21st in the opening round of the Region XIX playoffs, women's head coach Katie Amundson captured her 100th career victory. She is the first female women's soccer head coach to reach the 100 win milestone in Brookdale women's soccer long history of success.

She is the first female women's soccer head coach to reach the 100 win milestone in Brookdale women's soccer long history of success.
Amundson is no stranger to Brookdale as she was a two sport athlete (women' soccer and women's basketball) while a student at Brookdale between 2005-2007 . As a soccer defender, she was named to the first All-Region and All-Garden State Athletic Conference teams and currently holds the record for the most headers scored in a season. Her 2006 women's soccer team, which she captioned, captured the 2006 Region XIX women's soccer championship and finished as the NJCAA National runner up that season. Amundson was also a starter on the 2006-07 Region XIX championship women's basketball team. Amundson was also named an Academic All-American and won the 2006 NAGWS award.
Amundson was named head coach of her alma mater in 2011. In just seven seasons she was able to hit the century mark in wins. In 2013, Amundson coached the Jersey Blues women's soccer team to the programs first ever national championship. In 2014, the program repeated, winning it's second national title. In 2015, the program three-peated, winning it's third consecutive national title and making history as the first NJCAA women's soccer division III team to ever accomplish such a task. Coach Amundson was named Coach of the Year for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons. In 2015, Amundson was selected as the recipient of the NISOA-NSCAA Intercollegiate Merit Award for NJCAA coaches.
