Continued Team Success For Men's Cross Country At The Delaware Invitational
Newark, DE - The NJCAA 7th ranked Brookdale men's cross country team continues to move upward and onward. This past weekend the Blues competed in the 8K Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park. The course was very hilly and challenging, but was great preparation for the Blues since they will be returning in two weeks for the Region XIX Championship.

This past weekend the Blues competed in the 8K Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park. The course was very hilly and challenging, but was great preparation for the Blues since they will be returning in two weeks for the Region XIX Championship.
The team finished 5th out of 11 NCAA DII, DIII, and other JUCO teams with 112 points, and crossed the line as the #1 junior college. Top finisher in 4th place overall was sophomore, Theodore Purdon, with a 28:11 time, sophomore, Josh Seba, came in 19th at 30:56. Freshman Jayden Morris crossed the line in 32:04 for 30th place, and just following at 32:41 was Joshua Beer in 35th place. Seconds later at 32:46 in 36th place was, freshman Casey Brown. Purdon, Seba, and Beer all had their best times on this particular course
Marking 73rd place in 37:10 was freshman Matt Newman, 78th in 42:01 was freshman Joshua Cabral, and in 81st was freshman, Aeshawn Carney, with a 44:47 finish.
The Blues return to White Clay Creek State Park for the Region XIX Championship on Saturday, October 29th, beginning at 9:00am.
