Who is your hero and why? My hero is my mother (Amelia). She has always been there for me even in the rough patches of my life. I see her as a hero from her compassion. She may not be the “perfect” mother, yet I love that she restricts herself from letting her rough patches define her. She works hard, takes care of us, finds peace within nature (flowers and plants) as a form of self-care, and simply stays strong for us. Any pain that she receives, she finds a positive outlet so she can keep a smile. I like to think that I get that from her. She is my hero because of her compassion.
Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years, I see myself heading my way to Rutgers medical school and gain a spot on Rutgers co-ed cheer team. To experience their arena, and to see myself improve from Brookdale’s enormous help will be a heaven sent.
What would you do if you won the lottery? If I won the lottery, I’d section the money out for my medical education, to pay for my current small flower business, and send help to my aunt’s living conditions and surgery back in Peru. I will use my time wisely through my medical education to be a certified maternal fetal medicine specialist, and/or a reproductive endocrinologist. As both professions thrive, I will collectively gain currency of the lottery money I won from the start, so I can send back to charities, helpful causes, and veterans. From there on out, stay consistent to send money back to them. One current cause I’d send support to would be to Ukraine.
What are your top 3 movies? My top 3 favorite movies must be “Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness”, “The Batman” (2022), and Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well: The Short Film.” Each has a significant message of survival and perseverance. From Maximoff’s grieving her losses, Batman’s feeling of helplessness for his environment, to a girl’s self-esteem cut in half from her significant other. Collectively, their passions share enormous strength that help them persevere. Hence, their pains help them gain success and strengthen their identities overtime.
If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have? If I were a super-hero, my power would be to heal. Whether emotional or physical. There is far too much pain being shared across each other, that I’d try my best to heal each other.
