Brookdale Cross Country Runs Asbury Park Santa Run For Local Charity
Asbury Park, NJ - Members of the Brookdale cross country team, including Head Coach, Mike Tursi, ran with a sea of people dressed as Santa Claus in the annual, Asbury Park 5K Santa Run (or walk) on Saturday, December 4th.
Asbury Park, NJ - Members of the Brookdale cross country team, including Head Coach, Mike Tursi, ran with a sea of people dressed as Santa Claus in the annual, Asbury Park 5K Santa Run (or walk), on Saturday, December 4th.
The running Santa's are each issued their own Santa suits as they run through the streets of Asbury Park in support of the local non-profit charity, Lunch Break, located in Red Bank, NJ. "A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Lunch Break to help provide food, clothing, and fellowship to those in need around the holidays."
The Jersey Blues who participated in the charity event were: William Broadhurst, Maksim Popov, Theodore Purdon, Joshua Beers, Axel Linde, and Head Coach, Mike Tursi.
