Brookdale Cross Country Finishes Strong At Bill Fritz Invitational
Glassboro, NJ - The Brookdale men`s cross country team opened up their season very successfully with strong performances at the Bill Fritz Invitational which was hosted by the Rowan University Owls. Brookdale, the only junior college team in the race, placed 4th overall, just missing the top three by three points.

The Brookdale men`s cross country team opened up their season very successfully with strong performances at the Bill Fritz Invitational which was hosted by the Rowan University Owls. Brookdale, the only junior college team in the race, placed 4th overall, just missing the top three by three points.
The men's team was led by freshman, Theodore Purdon (Red Bank Regional High School), who placed 15th and earned his first collegiate medal with a time of 28:10 on the 8K course. Freshman Joshua Seba (Mater Dei Prep), ran a strong race placing 33rd with a time of 32:29. He was followed by freshman, Connor Scott (Keansburg High School), who placed 37th in 32:52.
Next across the line were a pair of sophomore's. William Broadhurst (Middletown North High School), placed 41st with a time of 33:59 and Maksim Popov (Colts Neck High School), placed 42nd in 34:55. Freshman Michael Puzo (Middletown North High School), completed the scoring placing 43rd with a time of 36:05. Rounding out the top ten for the men`s team were freshman, Joshua Beer (Shore Regional High School), sophomore, Axel Linde (Mater Dei Prep), freshman, Brendan Golding (Mater Dei Prep), and freshman, Darin Perpignan (Mater Dei Prep).
The men`s team will return to action on Saturday, September 18th, to compete in the Roadrunner Invitational at Rowan College South Jersey-Gloucester in Deptford, N.J.
