Brookdale's Puzo & Daly Place 1st And 2nd At Roadrunner Invitational
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale's men's and women's cross country teams had some outstanding performances to match the outstanding running conditions at the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by RCSJ-Gloucester.

Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale's men's and women's cross country teams had some outstanding performances to match the outstanding running conditions at the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by RCSJ-Gloucester. In the women's 5K race, freshman Kristen Daly (Middletown North High School), placed second overall with a time of 25:38. Her second place finish was the top finish for a Brookdale woman in at least 10 years.
In the men's race, the Blues took a HUGE step in climbing up the mountain by winning their first invitational meet in 10 years. The team was lead by Michael Puzo, a freshman (Middletown North High School), who won the race with a time of 18:21. He was followed by Michael Smith, a sophomore (Middletown South High School), who placed 12th with a time of 20:49. Sophomore Liam Broadhurst (Middletown North High School), placed 14th, with a time of 21:00. Not far behind, Two freshman, Shea Hoff and Magnus Sanchez, (both of Keansburg High School) placed 15th and 18th overall. Rounding out the team scoring was Axel Linde, a freshman from Mater Dei, who placed 21st.
