Brookdale Cross Country Runs Full Force At Osprey Invitational
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams opened up the 2021 season at the Osprey Open Invitational hosted by Stockton University on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams opened up the 2021 season at the Osprey Open Invitational hosted by Stockton University on Saturday, March 6, 2021. In the women's 5K, freshman Lindsey Field made her collegiate cross country debut by placing 3rd with a time of 22:15.7. The 3rd place finish was the first time in at least nine years that a woman has placed in the top three of any invitational for Brookdale. Kristen Daly (Middletown North High School) made her first collegiate launch as well by running a strong race and placing 13th with a time of 30:39.6.
In the men`s 5K, sophmore, Michael Smith, lead the team by placing 24th with a time of 22:48.9. He was followed by a trio of freshman who all made their successful collegiate premiers. Freshman, Axel Linde, placed 25th with a time of 23:44.9. He was followed, Shea Hoff (Keansburg High School), in 26th place with a time of 24:11.4. Rounding it out for the Jersey Blues was Magnus Sanchez (Keansburg High School), who placed 27th with a time of 24:57.6.
The team will next travel to visit the Roadrunners of RCSJ-Gloucester for a 5K race on Sunday, March 21st.
