Hannah Fite And Shannon Kelley Earn First Team All-Region Honors At Region XIX Championship
Newark, NJ- Members of the Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Region XIX championships on Sunday, October 30th. The meet was held at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ.

In the women's 5K race, freshman Shannon Kelley placed 5th with a time of (21:24.30) while sophomore Hannah Fite finished in 6th with a time of (21:54.50). Kelley and Fite were named to the the first All-Region team. Freshman Rizwana Khan ran a personal best of (23.01.70) placing 12th. Justine Conca of Bergen Community College won the conference title with a time of (19:47.40). Bergen won the team title overall with 47 points.
In the men's 8K race, freshman William Nemeth placed 30th with a time of (31:58.50) as freshman Robert Arroyo ran a PR of (32:17.70) finishing in 34th. Christian Bermudez of Ocean County College won the conference title with a time of (28:16.40). Bergen Community College won the team title with 45 points.
Select student- athletes will compete at the NJCAA XC National Championships at Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday, November 12th.
