Cross Country Opens Season With Monmouth University Kick-Off

Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams opened up their season at the 13th annual Monmouth University XC Kick-off on Saturday September 3rd. The meet comprised mostly of Division I and II schools.

Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams opened up their season at the 13th annual Monmouth University XC Kick-off on Saturday September 3rd. The meet comprised mostly of Division I and II schools.

On the women's side in the 4K race, freshman Shannon Kelley placed 55th with a personal best of (17:58.87). Sophomore Hannah Fite finished 65th with a time of (19:05.80), while sophomore Tierra Hackley  hit a personal best of (19:18.79). Monmouth University took home the women's title with 21 points.

For the men's 6K race,  freshman William Nemeth ran a season best of (24:25.09), while freshman Robert Arroyo finished in (25:51.11).  Monmouth University took home the men's title with 26 points.
 

Brookdale will next compete on Saturday, September 10th at the Dukes Invitational hosted by Cumberland County College.
