Cross Country Completes Region XIX Tournament; Women's Cross Country Places Third
Newark, NJ- The Brookdale men’s and women's cross country teams competed in the Region XIX tournament on Sunday, October 25th at Branch Brook Park. The Jersey Blues raced against DIII and DI two-year schools. The women’s team placed 3rd overall with 86 points.

Newark, NJ-The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Region XIX tournament on Sunday, October 25th at Branch Brook Park. The Jersey Blues raced against DIII and DI two-year schools. The women's team placed 3rd overall with 86 points.
In the 5,000 meter race, the Jersey Blues were led by sophomore Sarah Dzurina, who ran a personal best of (20:39.20), placing 10th . Freshman Hannah Fite followed Dzurina, placing 14th with a personal best of (21:01.20). Sophomore Kaleigh Jordan placed 15th with a season best of (21:12.90), while freshman Tierra Hackley finished in 17th place with a personal best time of (21:27.60). Sophomore Ana Ventura rounded out the Blues with a personal best of (24:58.80).
In the 8,000 meter race, sophomore Robert Trigg placed 10th with a personal best of (29:20.20), followed by freshman Daniel Caputo in 11th place with a time of (29:29.40). Freshman James Gleason ran a personal best of (30:46.70) finishing in 24th place.
The Jersey Blues will next compete at the NJCAA National Championships at Holyoke Community College.
