Women's Cross Country Places 12th Overall At Osprey Open

Galloway, NJ- The Brookdale cross country teams traveled to Stockton College to compete in the Osprey Open on Saturday, September 26th. The meet consisted primarily of Division II and III schools, with other NJCAA teams competing as well.

Galloway, NJ- The Brookdale cross country teams traveled to Stockton College to compete in the Osprey Open on Saturday, September 26th.  The meet consisted primarily of Division II and III schools, with other NJCAA teams competing as well. 

In the 6K race, the women placed 12th as a team, led by sophomore Sarah Dzurina, placing 53rd with a 71 second Personal Record of (26:49.87). Freshman Hannah Fite placed 60th with a 1:45 PR of (27:15.57). Freshman Tierra Hackley followed in 68th place with a 2:30 PR of (27:47.06). Sophomore Kaleigh Jordan placed 77th with a minute PR of (28:28.23) and sophomore Ana Ventura rounded out the women's team with a minute PR of (32:21.03).

In the 8K race for the men's side, freshman Daniel Caputo had a four minute PR of (30:46.67), placing 72nd. Sophomore Robert Trigg came in 79th with a time of (31:11.58). Freshman James Gleason rounded out the men's team with a four minute PR of (32:15.09)
 

The Jersey Blues will travel to Newark on October 3rd to compete at the NJIT Highlander Meet.
