Cross Country Opens Season With Monmouth University Kick-Off

Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams competed at Thompson Park for Monmouth University's XC Kick-off. For the 4K race on the women's side, sophomore Sarah Dzurina ran (18:13.21) placing 65th. She was followed by freshman Hannah Fite, who came in at (18:41.61).

Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams competed at Thompson Park for Monmouth University's XC Kick-off. There were eight schools that competed, six of them being four year Division I Schools.

For the 4K race on the women's side, sophomore Sarah Dzurina ran (18:13.21) placing 65th. She was followed by freshman Hannah Fite, who came in at (18:41.61). Fite placed 70th. Freshman Tierra Hackley  ran a time of (19:34.11), while freshman Karly Abraham finished at (20:58.62).

On the men's side, sophomore Robert Trigg ran a time of (23:38.67) for the 6K race, placing 55th. Freshman James Gleason ran a time of (25:41.38) while freshman Anthony Hologounis completed the race in (36:36.00).

 

Brookdale will next travel to Cumberland County College on Saturday, September 12th to compete in the Dukes Invitational.
