Men's Cross Country Places Fifth At Region XIX Meet
Newark, NJ- The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Region XIX meet on Saturday, October 25th at Branch Brook Park. On the women's side, freshman Sarah Dzurina placed 8th, one place away from making first team All-Region with a season best time of (22:22) in the 5k race. Dzurina advanced to the National Championship race.

Dzurina advanced to the National Championship race. Sophomore Mikaela Peters placed 17th with a time of (24:31). Rounding out the women were freshmen Ana Ventura and Julia Zelich hitting season bests of (25:55) and (26:49) respectively.
In the 8k race, sophomore Tyler Arabia placed 15th with a time of (30:03), followed by freshman Rob Trigg with a personal best of (30:13), placing 17th. Sophomore Wilson Melendez placed 27th, with a time of (31:25). Freshman Alex Morales finished 32nd with a time of (32:12) and freshman Hakan Yuksel placed 45th with a time of (33:19).
The NJCAA Division III Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships will be held on Saturday, November 8th at Finger Lakes Community College.
