Cross Country Finishes NJIT Highlander Challenge
Newark, NJ- The Brookdale men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NJIT Highlander Challenge at Branch Brook Park. In the women's 5k, freshman Sarah Dzurina finished ninety-first out of 162 runners with a season best time of (23:24). Sophomore Mikaela Peters finished in 112th place with a time of (24:35).

Ana Ventura and Julia Zelich rounded out the Blues running season best times of (26:49) and (28:31) respectively.
On the men's side, sophomore Tyler Arabia finally broke 30 minutes in the 8k with a time of (29:58), finishing sixty-second out of 144 runners. Sophomore Wilson Melendez ran a season best time of (31:16), placing 76th.
Rounding out for the men were freshmen Rob Trigg and Alex Morales, running (31:31) and (31:38) respectively.
The Blues are off until Saturday October 18th, when they will compete at the Princeton Invitational.
