Lincroft, NJ - Congratulations to Brookdale's freshman middle hitter, Sophia Peluso, who has been named as the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Division III Women's Volleyball Player of the Week, for the week ending 10/2.

The Jersey Blues went 1-1 on the week, falling to Raritan Valley (0-3) and rebounding to defeat the Union Owls in five sets, (3-2). Freshman middle hitter Sophia Peluso totaled 24 points, 19 kills, and eight spikes in the match-ups. Head Coach, Mike O'Krepki said, "Sophia really stepped up this week and is becoming one of the most reliable scorers on the team. She keeps improving defensively and brings really positive energy."
