Brookdale Volleyball Splits In Tri-Match
Paramus, NJ - Brookdale volleyball had a long day, but experienced some amazing volleyball in their tri-match split vs the Ocean County College Vikings, and the Bergen Community College Bulldogs. The Jersey Blues lost their first match against the Vikings 3-1, with scores of, 26-24, 25-21, 25-23, 25-22. The Blues rallied in the second game to win, 3-2, in five sets while scoring, 25-11, 25-22, 25-19, 25-17, 15-8.

Paramus, NJ - Brookdale volleyball had a long day, but experienced some amazing volleyball in their tri-match split vs the Ocean County College Vikings, and the Bergen Community College Bulldogs. The Jersey Blues lost their first match against the Vikings 3-1, with scores of, 26-24, 25-21, 25-23, 25-22. The Blues rallied in the second game to win, 3-2, in five sets while scoring, 25-11, 25-22, 25-19, 25-17, 15-8.
In the first game against Ocean CC, the Blues were led by freshman outside hitter, Marina Millett, with 12 kills and 18 digs, as freshman outside hitter, Rebecca Valentin, led with 10 kills and 11 digs. Also contributing was sophomore libero, Rebecca Arleth, with 27 digs, freshman defense specialist, Denise Gonzalez-Cruz, with 13 assists, and freshman ride side hitter, Lyndsay Truchan, with 12 assists.
In the 3-2 win against Bergen CC, Marina Millett, added 11 more kills, 21 digs, and four aces to her stats, while freshman outside hitter, Annika Fechtner, totaled 10 kills, and four aces. Rebecca Arleth calculated another 23 digs, and Lyndsay Truchan posted a hefty 27 assists to the book.
The Jersey Blues are currently 4-1, and their next match will be against the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers on Monday, September 19th, beginning at 6:00pm.
