Lincroft, NJ - Women's volleyball surpassed the Owls of Union County College in three sets, 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-22).
After taking the first set, the Blues were resilient in the next two as Union led from the beginning of both, 6-1. Freshman middle hitter Carolyn Hazard collected eight kills, two blocks and five digs while sophomore outside hitter Katie O'Neill notched six kills, two aces and 10 digs. Sophomore middle hitter Melanie Hobbis contributed four kills, one block and zero errors.
Sophomore outside hitter Jessenia Acevedo produced at the service line at critical stances during the match to keep the flow moving in a positive direction for the team.
Brookdale rolls to 6-2 and will return to action on Thursday, September 26th at the Collins Arena against Fashion Institute of Technology at 7pm.
