Women's Volleyball Sweeps Bergen And Atlantic Cape In Tri-Match
Paramus, NJ - The Brookdale women's volleyball team swept the Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape Community College in the first match-up, 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-6). Service aces highlighted the Blues offense while the team steadily advanced on all fronts, with successful kills and a strong defensive back row.
Paramus, NJ - The Brookdale women's volleyball team swept the Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape Community College in the first match-up, 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-6). Service aces highlighted the Blues offense while the team steadily advanced on all fronts, with successful kills and a strong defensive back row.
In their second match against Bergen Community College, Brookdale took the first three sets for the win, 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-23). The Bulldogs had a great attack that challenged the Blues who continued to fight back.
On the day, sophomore right side hitter Emily Schulte posted 11 kills, 11 aces and four blocks as sophomore outside hitter Katie O'Neill tallied 12 kills, seven aces and 17 digs. Sophomore setter Gabriela Pachamango dished a match-high 36 assists while also contributing four aces.
With the wins, the team rolls to an overall record of 3-1 and will next travel to Ocean County College to take on the Vikings on Thursday, September 17th at 7pm.
