Toms River, NJ- The Brookdale women's volleyball team was topped by the Vikings of Ocean County College in four sets, 1-3 (22-25, 4-25, 25-20, 8-25).
The Vikings relentless and aggressive serves in the second set were too much for Brookdale to handle while the Jersey Blues rallied for the win in set number three. The team was firing on all cylinders. Freshman outside hitter Kaitlyn O'Neill contributed six kills, one ace and eight digs as freshman middle hitter Melanie Hobbis notched two kills and one ace. Freshman middle hitter Emily Schulte recorded a match-high 12 digs.
The Blues will return home to take on the Lions of Raritan Valley Community College on Saturday, September 15th.
