Edison, NJ- Freshman libero Samarie Hernandez scooped 18 digs as the Jersey Blues tallied their first win of the season on the road at Middlesex County College, 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-9).
Freshman outside hitter Kaitlyn O'Neill chipped in nine kills, a match-high 10 aces and 16 digs while sophomore setter Taijha Williams collected nine assists and four aces. Sophomore outside hitter Jennybell De Jesus added three kills and three aces.
Overall the team totaled 21 aces and an impressive 55 digs. The Blues will next travel to Montgomery County Community College on Wednesday, September 12th for a match-up beginning at 7:00pm.
