Women's Tennis Storm Past The Ocean Vikings, 9-0

Toms River, NJ - Brookdale women's tennis took the Ocean County College Vikings by storm with a victorious score of 9-0.

The squad began doubles with a bang as sophomore Melodie Werner and freshman Gabby Dowlen, downed their opponent, 8-1, as second doubles duo, freshman Isabel Kobilas and freshman Gianna D'Angelo dominated their match, 8-3.

The Jersey Blues continued their dominance in singles action as first singles, Gabby Dowlen, won 6-1, 6-4, and Melodie Werner took a second doubles defeat over her opponent, 6-1, 6-1. In third singles, Isabel Koblias won 6-0, 6-1, and freshman Hannah Reitmeyer clinched a score of 6-1, 6-0 to complete the sweep. 

Brookdale (2-3) will play their next match on the road against the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners on Friday, April 25th, beginning at 3:30pm.
