Women's Tennis Wins Season Opener Over Ocean Vikings, 9-0
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale women's tennis defeated the Ocean County College Vikings in their season opener, 9-0.
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale women's tennis defeated the Ocean County College Vikings in their season opener, 9-0.
First doubles, Gabby Dowlen (Middletown North High School) and Gianna D'Angelo (Raritan High School) won their match 8-1, second doubles, sophomore, Melodie Werner (Middletown North High School), freshman Isabel Kobilas (Middletown North High School) defeated their opponents, 8-3, and sophomore, Kaitlin Thomson (Henry Hudson High School) and freshman, Hannah Reitmeyer (Jackson Liberty High School) posted victories in their matches, 8-0.
In singles action, first singles, Gabby Dowlen, and second singles, Gianna D'Angelo, both defeated their opponents 6-1, 6-2. Third singles, Melodie Werner, won 6-0, 6-0, fourth, Isabel Kobilas, won 6-0, 6-1, fifth singles, Hannah Reitmeyer, finished 6-0, 6-0, and sixth singles, Kaitlin Thomson, also won 6-0, 6-0.
Brookdale will return to action at home against the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners on Friday, April 4th, beginning at 3:30pm.
