Women’s Tennis Tops Lackawanna College

Colts Neck, NJ – The Brookdale women’s tennis team won its third match of the season in a 7-2 victory over Lackawanna College at Colts Neck Racquet Club.

Colts Neck, NJ – The Brookdale women's tennis team won its third match of the season in a 7-2 victory over Lackawanna College at Colts Neck Racquet Club.

Brookdale took two of three in doubles. Sophomores Toni Kauffman and Brianna McCarthy won at first doubles, 8-0. Sophomore Grace Meyer and freshman Farida Moamen won at second doubles, 9-7.

Brookdale won five out of six singles matches. Kauffman (6-3, 6-4), McCarthy (6-3, 6-0), Meyer (6-1, 6-1), Moamen (6-0, 6-2), and sophomore Lindsey Nelson (6-0, 6-1) took singles matches for the Jersey Blues.

Brookdale is now 3-4 on the season and look to reach .500 when they take on Camden County College on Monday, October 8 at Overbrook High School at 3:30 p.m.
