Women's Tennis Slips Past Mercer, 5-4; Belle Wingert Wins Deciding Match

West Windsor, NJ- The Brookdale women's tennis team defeated the Vikings of Mercer County Community College, 5-4.  Sophomore Grace Wills  opened singles action with a 6-3, 6-0 win at first singles.

Freshman Alexis Benadum took fourth singles, 6-1, 6-3 and second doubles with freshman Emily Smilovic, 8-2.

Freshman Belle Wingert was the deciding match after the score was tied 4-4. Wingert was down in the second set and came back to win, 6-3, 7-5.

The team returns to action on Saturday, September 13th against Bergen Community College at home.
