Brookdale Soccer Invades The Camden Cougar Den 8-0

Blackwood, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team invaded the Camden County College Cougar den and left with an 8-0 win under their Jersey Blues belt.

The Jersey Blues scored six goals in the first half beginning with an unassisted knock-in from sophomore forward, Rori McDonough, who put four in the net on the day. Sophomore midfielder, Grace Broderick, followed at 13:47 off of a pass from sophomore midfielder, Gabrielle Hueth. At 17:45, McDonough scored again, this time, assisted by sophomore forward, Adyson Hornberger. Freshman midfielder, Hailey Funkhouser, planted an unassisted goal at the 22:59 mark, and then assisted Rori McDonough with her third goal just minutes later.

Just shy of the first half, Grace Broderick, scored her second goal off of the cleat of sophomore midfielder, Catherine Delia, for Brookdale's 6th goal. The Funkhouser and McDonough combo connected twice more with McDonough scoring her 4th goal from Funkhouser's feed at 53:20, and then it was Funhouser's turn to score the final goal at 70:10 from McDonough's assist.

With the win, the Jersey Blues are 5-3, and will host the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes next, on Tuesday, October 10th, at 3:30pm.
