Brookdale Women's Soccer Bounces The Blue Colts Out Of The Region 19 Tournament

Lincroft, NJ - With just 11 players and their 5th win in a row, the #4 seeded Brookdale women's soccer team played incredible, bouncing out the #5 seed, Middlesex College, 4-0, in the Region 19 semi-finals.

The Blues didn't see the back of the net until 20:41 in, but remained dominant in the first half, outscoring the Blue Colts 3-0. The first goal was unassisted, scored by sophomore midfielder, Lianna Quezada. Quezada was in the mix again twelve minutes later as she assisted freshman forward, Rori McDonough, for her 9th goal of the season. At 38:48, freshman midfielder, Tiffany Brickle, got a feed pass from sophomore defender, Paige Coulahan, to close out the first half.

The Jersey Blues earned their fourth goal of the game at 49:32, when Quezada blasted her eighth goal of the season with the help of Rori McDonough's assist, and sophomore goalie, Emma Bennett protected her home as she collected 11 saves to advance the Blues. 

Brookdale will travel to play in the Region 19 finals against the #1 seeded, Ocean County College Vikings, on Ocean's turf field on Saturday, October 29th, at 12pm.
