Emma Bennett Selected As Female Athlete Of The Year At 36th Annual National Girls & Women In Sports Day
Lincroft, NJ - Jersey Blue freshman women's soccer goalie, Emma Bennett, was selected by the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW), to represent Brookdale Community College at the 36th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day on February 2nd.
Lincroft, NJ - Jersey Blue freshman women's soccer goalie, Emma Bennett, was selected by the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW), to represent Brookdale Community College at the 36th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day on February 2nd.
In Bennett's 2021 season, she combined for 116 saves, five shutouts, and only allowed for 16 goals scored in the 13 games played. Bennett was selected to NJCAA first team All-American, GSAC Player of the Week, first team All-Region, first team All-GSAC, and named to the NJCAA Division III All-Tournament Team.
The New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) honors 1 female student athlete of all High Schools, 2 year Colleges and 4 year Colleges of NJ every year on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
February 2, 2022, marks the 36th annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD). This celebration inspires girls and women to play and be active, to realize their full power. The confidence, strength and character gained through sports participation are the very tools girls and women need to become strong leaders in sports and life.
