Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team won their final game of the regular season against the Middlesex County College Blue Colts, 8-0, to earn the 2021 GSAC Championship title!
The Jersey Blues came out strong, scoring within the first minute of the game as sophomore forward, Jada Trotta, sent a nice ball to freshman midfielder, Dorothy Seidle. Seidle returned the favor, sending Trotta an assist in the ninth minute of play. Both Dorothy Seidle and Jada Trotta had a huge day as Dorothy had two more assists later in the game to freshman field player, Rebecca Reynoso, and to freshman midfielder, Paige Coulahan. Jada earned her second goal in the 24th minute off of a pass from freshman forward, Samantha Coleman. Reynoso and Coulahan teamed up in the 41st minute as Coulahan delivered Reynoso a sweet pass for her second goal of the game.
In the 66th minute, freshman defender, Nora Stewart, hit sophomore forward, Rebeckah Trumble, with an assist for the 7th goal of the game. Rebecca Reynoso finished strong, sending freshman midfielder, Lianna Quezada, a ball to score in the last 10 minutes of play.
The Jersey Blues are awaiting the seeding announcement from the Region 19 office to determine who and when their next game will be in the playoffs.
