Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team had a big conference win over the Union County College Owls with a slim final score of 1-0. The game predominately stayed in the middle of the field while not presenting too many shots on goal from either team.
The sole scorer for the Blues, freshman defender, Hailey Kret, chalked up her first goal of the season off of a free kick 30 yards out. Freshman midfielder, Gabrielle Hueth, deserves much credit for shutting down the Owl's top scorer, Brooke Swandrak, in the key victory.
Brookdale (2-2) will travel to Newton, NJ on Thursday, September 23rd, for a 3:30pm start against the Sussex County Community College Skylanders.
