Jersey Blues Suffer Tough Opener To The Union Owls
Cranford, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team kicked off their season with a tough loss on the road against the Union County College Owls, 3-2. The Blues scored the first two goals of the game in the first half. Sophomore defender, Emily Clayton, scored a nice unassisted free kick goal to start the half. Freshman forward Taylor Pagano scored the second goal with assistance from freshman midfielder Paige Coulahan.

The Blues scored the first two goals of the game in the first half. Sophomore defender, Emily Clayton, scored a nice unassisted free kick goal to start the half. Freshman forward Taylor Pagano scored the second goal with assistance from freshman midfielder Paige Coulahan.
Goalies, Rebeckah Trumble and Emma Bennett, split their job time in the net as each had nine outstanding saves for the Blues. Interim Head Coach, Nil Onder, on the game said, "Clayton played great defense and made good runs to help out the offense. Taylor dominated the offense, and Alexa Hansen took control of the midfield."
The Jersey Blues wiil travel to visit the Division II Sussex County College Skylanders for game number two on Wednesday, April 14th at 4:00pm.
