Coach Amundson was hired as head coach of the women's soccer team in June 2011. Amundson served as an assistant for two years (2009, 2010) before taking over the program.
In 2013, Amundson coached the Jersey Blues women's soccer team to the programs first ever national championship. In 2014, the program repeated, winning its second national title. In 2015, the program three-peated, winning its third consecutive national title and making history as the first NJCAA women's soccer division III team to ever accomplish such a task. Coach Amundson was named Regional Coach of the Year for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons.
In 2015, Amundson was selected as the recipient of the NISOA-NSCAA Intercollegiate Merit Award for NJCAA coaches and was also named NSCAA National Coach of the Year.
On October 21, 2017, Amundson notched her 100th career win against Ocean County College in the first round of the Region XIX tournament. For the 2019 season, the Jersey Blues women's soccer coaching staff, including assistant coaches, Nil Onder and Meghan Begley, was named North Region Staff of the Year for division III institutions. This honor is a result of a vote by other coaches who are also members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services program.
