Brookdale Clinches Undefeated GSAC Title After Win Against Bergen Bulldogs
Manalapan, NJ - The Jersey Blues women's soccer team clinched the Garden State Athletic Conference title after downing the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College, 8-0. Brookdale went undefeated in the conference, 6-0.

It was a team effort and the offensive stats were spread out with smart offensive pass combinations before finding the back of the net. Freshman forward Jada Trotta put the Blues on the board early, recording her first goal in the 14th minute of play and her second in the 40th minute. Sophomore midfielder Nicole Puzo and freshman midfielder Alexa Hansen each collected one assist. Hansen also added one goal and another assist in the match-up.
Freshman defender Emily Clayton made key offensive runs that resulted in two goals while sophomore defender Rebecca Gorenstein stepped up and ripped a shot for her fifth goal of the season. Freshman forward Daniella Carvalho Da Cruz tallied one goal and one assist as freshman goalkeeper Rebeckah Trumble saw some time on the field and scored her first goal as a Jersey Blue in the 62nd minute. Freshmen midfielders Kailie Benko and Kaylyn Melando each dished one assist.
With the win, the team improves to 10-0-1 and will next take on the DI Skylanders of Sussex County Community College on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3:30pm at the turf field at Manalapan Parks & Recreation.
