Newton, NJ- The Brookdale women's soccer team was defeated by the DI Skylanders of Sussex County Community College, 5-2. Freshman defender Kelly Negra posted the first goal for the Jersey Blues as she beautifully placed a penalty kick in the corner of the net in the first half.

Freshman midfielder Gianna Sabin tallied the second and final goal for Brookdale as freshman center-midfielder Jessica Textor notched the assist.

The team will return home to match-up against the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County on Saturday, September 30th for a 3:00pm kick-off.
