Branchburg, NJ- The Brookdale women's soccer team shut out the Lions of Raritan Valley Community College, 3-0. Freshman forward Christine Albano led the Blues offense with two goals while freshman forward Gianna Murphy collected both assists.

Sophomore midfielder Breeana Cassidy notched one goal as freshman center-midfielder Jessica Textor dished the assist.

The combined efforts of defenders Devon Moreno, Amy Beringer, Kelly Negra, Brianna Quezada and Alexis Cuje, coupled with four saves at the hands of freshmen goalkeepers Sophia Goos and Mya Schaumloffel enabled the Blues to collect their second shutout of the season.

The team improves their overall record to 5-0-1 and will return to action on the road at Anne Arundel Community College on Friday, September 22nd for a 5:00pm kick-off.
