Women's Soccer Takes Fifth Place Title; Heather Arbachesky Tops Brookdale's Offense With Two Goals
Toms River, NJ- The Brookdale women's soccer team defeated the Golden Rams of Anoka-Ramsey Community College, 3-1. After a scoreless 45 minutes, sophomore forward Heather Arbachesky led the Blues offense with two goals in the second half. Sophomore forward Amanda Karabin dished both assists.

Freshman forward Jordan Grillo timed her run and buried the third and final goal for Brookdale with less than 15 minutes remaining in the game. Sophomore midfielder Endila Radoncic and Karabin collected the assist.
Sophomore defender Michelle Montefinese tallied an outstanding defensive effort and swept every ball that came through the back line. Freshman goalkeeper Kayla Breaud came up with six key saves in net.
The Jersey Blues showed strength and determination in the NJCAA Division III women's soccer national tournament and represented Region XIX by being the last remaining team. Brookdale left their mark on the tournament, outscoring their opponents 9-5, with a 2-1 record and a fifth place finish.
Brookdale finishes out the 2016 season with an overall record of 15-6, 6-1 in conference play.
